This workshop was originally offered through Catholic Literary Arts as a 2-part virtual workshop. Please reach out via my Contact Page if you would be interested in having me deliver this for your organization, or if you would like to be notified when I am teaching it again.

Each class runs 75 minutes.
The purpose of this workshop is to strengthen our connection to the “out loud” sounds of poetry in both reading and writing.
Do you speak poems out loud as you read or write them? What do you hear in your head if you are reading silently? How do poems connect to our bodies?
In this highly interactive workshop, we will explore the sonic dimension of poetry through an examination of and experimentation with time-tested sonic devices, a review of exemplar poems, and both in and out of class writing
